Our daughter has been doing Art at Excite for 4 years. She has loved her art classes and has made a variety of different art works using all different mediums throughout her time. Great tutors and a great place to foster your child's passions in art, music, dance or drama.

Excite is a fantastic place to get kids excited about the Arts. Our daughter has been in a visual arts class for four years now, and absolutely loves it. She has learned many new skills and techniques and has developed in confidence. The pieces she brings home are stunning! The teachers are great and the atmosphere is too. Excite is a vibrant, happening place where creativity is encouraged. There are so many great class options for all ages - I highly recommend them!

Celia and Kimberley are two of the top music and art educators in the Waikato. I have heard rave reports of their classes and highly commend them as quality practitioners and educators. If you're in the Waikato region, I know any distance travelled to learn at Excite will be well worth your child's time.

Thanks Kim for such a fantastic day. It was a great hands-on day, completing projects ourselves, and being able to take them away with us, was awesome. You shared some fantastic techniques and ideas that could easily be adapted for different year levels, and some practical tips for doing art with students were also very helpful. Excellent teacher. Highly recommended. Kimberly really stimulates the kids to think outside the square and teach them to grip the basic skills in drawing. Making art so fun and so easy and achievable. Being able do draw well, has also help to build my kids self- confident.

Went along to a parent and child art evening tonight it was really relaxing and friendly people and fun interesting night. Lovely to see a place like this in the Waikato and a place for children to learn art or music I recommend it.

So last week we decided to take a gamble and have our daughters Birthday party at Excite. It was a gamble as we had never been there before. BUT what a successful gamble! It was so much fun, kids got taught and created an incredible piece of art work, they got to play fabulous games. Celia was happy to sort food if need be and had a table with all cutlery etc ready and waiting for us. Best of all was that every child had a blast, there was heaps of fun, laughter and giggling. We would highly recommend Excite for anybody looking for the perfect birthday party host.

​Awesome new place with the best musical instruments to learn and play on - and amazing teacher with the best teaching persona/talent/patience! My 8 yr old desperately wants to go back for next holiday program and when ever else we can fit in. And I learned heaps too- so many different sorts of percussion instruments and fun techniques to get you started with rhythm... and very funky Ukes, Guitars and more. Sorry sound like an advert but was just so impressed. Thanks Celia :)

I find Celia to be an amazing music teacher. She has a deep understanding of music and is able to convey this understanding in simple and fun ways so that children can live in to the experience of music as a whole. A wonderful way to learn music. A true gift to your child.

My daughter and niece have had just two art classes so far, and have headed home after each class talking about how much they can't wait for the next one! As a parent I have been really impressed with the amount of planning and thought that has gone in to the lessons to date - the children have already been guided through some impressive art techniques and have experienced using a variety of quality art materials, despite having just had two lessons to date. Celia Williamson has been a passionate music teacher for decades and brings her passion and extensive music teaching experience to Excite for the benefit of Hamilton kids - of all ages.

You can tell as soon as you walk in the door that Excite is about fun, but also about learning. From the bucket drums for preschoolers to the marimbas and keyboards for the big kids, Excite means to rock Hamilton!

Celia has had a positive influence on hundreds of kids in Hamilton. She has seen first-hand over many years the power that music can bring to young learners. Children benefit in many learning areas using music as the vehicle for learning. As well as building music skills, a child’s involvement in music activities builds life skills of coordination, language, and focussed listening, as well as social confidence and memory. These are skills all children need – for school and for life. and it can all happen through fun music activities.

For years Celia has led fun, upbeat music sessions in the community as well as being a music specialist in schools. Her Marimba bands, Percussion bands and Ukulele bands have empowered kids to enjoy making music together. Now it all comes together at EXCITE.
