EARLY MUSIC
3-8 year olds
Where confident young musicians begin
Movement • Rhythm • Instruments • Joyful Fun
Our Early Music programmes introduce children to music through movement, singing, rhythm and instruments, creating joyful foundations that lead naturally into instrumental learning.
Our Early Music Philosophy
At Excite Academy, we believe a child’s first experiences of music should be playful, purposeful and confidence-building. Our Early Music pathway is grounded in Orff Schulwerk principles, combining movement, voice, rhythm and hands-on instruments to develop real musical understanding in a nurturing group environment.
Rather than rushing children into formal lessons, we focus on building strong musical foundations — rhythm, pitch, listening, coordination and ensemble skills — so students feel capable, curious and excited as they grow.
Why We Recommend Early Music First
Intro to Music and the Junior Music Series are designed to meet children at their developmental stage, allowing them to experience music in a joyful, pressure-free way while building essential skills. Children who move into formal lessons after completing these programmes are typically more confident, progress more quickly, and enjoy their musical journey for longer.
