Rhythm & Minds PD Workshop

A 6 hour music PD workshop for primary school teachers and educators presented by Celia Williamson, Director of Excite and Orff Specialist Teacher.

"Brain stem neurons have been shown to fire synchronously with tempo leading to theories that music may modulate a range of brain stem mediated areas, such as our heartbeat rate & blood pressure levels....(Chanda & Levitin, 2013)

Orff Schulwerk is a playful way to teach music where movement, singing and playing become a unity. Spend the day learning creative ways to engage children through a variety of activities and music instruments including rhythm fun, science of sound, creating around a topic, make simple instruments.

Course includes a book of covered materials and resources, a certificate upon completion. Morning tea, hot and cold drinks provided.
