About The Event
A fabulous workshop covering ideas for creative music making in the primary school classroom and studio setting using a variety of instruments and activities. Marimba, singing, percussion. ukulele & more will be facilitated by Chirstoph Maubach & Celia Williamson. There will also be the opportunity to share resources, songs and marimba ideas.
Light dinner and refeshments will also be provided.
Christoph Maubach is a Music and Dance Educator who has worked with the Orff Approach for more than three decades. He held positions as Lecturer at Australian Catholic University and as Senior Lecturer at Waikato University in Hamilton, New Zealand. As a workshop leader, arranger and conductor, Christoph assists with the development of creative music education in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe. His music teaching ideas and activities bring a fresh note to participants of all ages. Nowadays Christoph works as a free-lance musician, teacher and workshop leader.
Celia Williamson has worked in the Primary School sector for most of her life, mainly teaching music. She is now Director, Head Music teacher and musician of her own company Excite Music and Arts Academy. Celia loves sharing musical knowledge to both children and adults and also gleaning from others.
